* CheapTickets Insists We’re In Denver Even Though We Moved To Boston Five Years Ago

Erik recommends avoiding CheapTickets and using Kayak.com instead.

We lived in Denver for two years. That was five and a half years ago. Ever since, my wife has been trying to get CheapTickets to stop sending her promotions based on her departure city being Denver. She changed – over five years ago – her “departure city” in her CheapTickets profile to Boston. Yet the Denver-based promotional emails keep coming.

My wife is getting cranky. Don’t make my wife cranky. You wouldn’t like me when my wife is cranky.

Dear CheapTickets. Fix your system. Sincerely, Erik.

Actually, you should use Kayak (http://www.kayak.com/) instead. Not just because they are a client of mine, but because the service is really cool. Plus they know the difference between Denver and Boston.

  1. Erik – if you send me your email address, I’ll make sure your homeairport is changed to BOS instead of DEN.
